The application period for camps opens on 1 November 2025 and runs until 31 December 2025. Places are limited and selection happens on a rolling basis – don't delay your application.

- Most camp invitations arrive during February and March
- Swedish applicants compete with applicants from other countries for a limited number of places
- A camp often has 10–15 places and a maximum of one participant from Sweden
Selection of candidates
Rotary Youth Exchange makes the selection for the various camps in the following order:
- Paid and completeApplicants who have both paid the program fee and submitted a complete application.
- Previously not admittedApplicants who were not admitted by the camp organiser or Rotary Youth Exchange the previous year.
- This year's applicantsApplicants who have submitted an application this year but have not yet been admitted to any camp.
- Older young peopleOlder applicants are prioritised – younger ones get their chance later.
Please note that it is the camp organiser who makes the final selection, on the recommendation of the Swedish camp coordinator.
Age limit
The general age requirement for the summer camps is 15–24 years, but each camp has its own specific age requirements. Camp lengths vary between 1 and 3 weeks. Participants stay with Rotary families and/or in hostels, schools and so on. The purpose of the camps is to build friendships and have fun.
Costs
You cover the program fee of SEK 1,700 (including insurance), travel to and from the camp, and pocket money yourself. Some camps have their own camp fee. The camp organiser covers all other costs, including room and board, unless otherwise stated in the camp notice.
Application
Camps without a camp fee are often very popular and fill up quickly – the camp list shows whether a camp has a participant fee or not.

Selection happens on a rolling basis and the number of places is limited. Don't delay your complete application, registration form and paid registration fee – by 31 December 2025 at the latest.
